I take great care shipping my paintings. Sometimes I have to 
make a custom container. Most of the time I purchase a high quality
container sized appropriately for the contents. These boxes aren't cheap and they
take a while to order and get delivered. I simply can't inventory all the different 
sizes required to ship quickly. Remember, I am a starving artist.

Then of course there's the packing time and the actual UPS cost of
insuring and shipping. I ship ground it's less expense. 

If you feel you need your painting sooner I can have UPS pack and ship
but I have had issues with their packing in the past.
